Cloudflare Workers
Optional. Its free plan is enough.
The two small servers regatta can run: the site bot and the dead-man's switch. The framework itself runs no server. These two are the only pieces that do, and you add them only if you want them.

What it brings, by module
lighthousebeacon: a contact form and a chat bot for your site, one Worker. It answers visitors from the site's own pages and hands the rest to people. Turnstile checks for bots, and Email Routing brings mail to the site's address in.
lighthousedeadman: each machine that runs work unattended pings one Worker every 5 minutes. One that goes quiet becomes a GitHub issue, with a mail as the fallback.
Free plan
- 100,000 requests a day, 10 ms of CPU per request, 5 scheduled triggers per account.
- Durable Objects, SQLite only: 100,000 requests and 100,000 rows written a day, 5 GB.
- Turnstile: up to 20 widgets, 10 hostnames each, unlimited checks.
- What it means here: deadman keeps its state in one Durable Object. Each machine pings every 5 minutes, 288 requests and 288 rows written a day, so the free plan watches about 340 machines, fewer when other Workers in the account use the same daily budget. beacon does not read a mail over 256 KB inside its 10 ms; the people get it in their inboxes instead.
Paid plans
Workers Paid from $5 a month per account
- No daily request limit, up to 5 minutes of CPU per request, no daily cap on Durable Object rows: deadman watches as many machines as you have.

Without it
- No chat bot and no contact form on your site. Nothing else changes.
- No dead-man's switch: a machine that stops is noticed when its work stops arriving. Its daily health pass runs on the machine, so it cannot report its own death.
- The bot's answers are paid to Anthropic's API, apart from Cloudflare: beacon rests at 80 % of a monthly cap you set, and the API's own spend limit is the hard stop.
