Orca

Optional. Free and open source; we recommend it.

Many agents side by side, each in its own working copy, across your machines. regatta never needs it: every run can start as a plain Claude Code session, on this machine or another.

What it brings, by module

wharf-runsorca-host keeps each Mac's Orca matched to your list of projects: the app and its command line, one project group per scope, a separate working copy per task, and the pairing to the Macs and Linux machines it drives.
wharf-runsorca-serve-agent runs Orca as a server that survives a restart, on a Mac or on Linux.
wharfA plan's blocks run as Orca workers, here or on a paired machine. If one crashes, Orca's own records pick it up again. regatta keeps the plan, the gates and the launch: Orca never launches.
wharf-runsEvery scheduled agent job is an Orca automation, and Orca's mailbox is one more way to reach a running session.
plumbUsage is counted for the logins Orca holds too.

Free plan

  • All of it. Orca is open source under the MIT licence, for macOS, Windows and Linux.
  • Enterprise no price listed

    • Rollout help and deployment inside your network. regatta uses none of it.

As listed on www.onorca.dev/enterprise, read 2026-10-24.

Without it

  • Blocks run as Claude Code sessions, on this Mac or on another over ssh.
  • Scheduled jobs run on the Mac's own scheduler, launchd.
  • A running session is reached through Claude Code's own inbox, ssh or a file.
  • What you give up: Orca's view of the agents at work, its workers on a paired machine, and recovery from its records after a crash.
